Chardham Yatra from Pune is one of India’s most revered spiritual journeys, taking pilgrims through the divine Himalayan region of Uttarakhand. This 10-day pilgrimage begins in Pune and travels through sacred towns and high-altitude mountain passes to reach Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.
The journey starts with a train or flight to Haridwar, where pilgrims witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri and explore spiritual sites like Shanti Kunj. From Haridwar, the tour continues to Yamunotri, where devotees can bathe in the hot springs of Surya Kund and offer prayers at the temple.
Next, the route proceeds to Gangotri, the origin of the Ganga, offering panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, and continues to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay. The tour then heads to Guptkashi, a town full of temples and divine ambiance, and prepares pilgrims for the trek to Kedarnath, one of the holiest shrines of Lord Shiva, perched at 11,755 ft. Trekkers can choose to walk 16 km from Gaurikund to Kedarnath or use ponies/palanquins.
After darshan at Kedarnath, the route moves to Badrinath, where pilgrims bathe at Tapt Kund, visit Vasudhara Falls, and explore the town’s temples. The return journey passes through Joshimath, Rudraprayag, and Rishikesh before concluding back at Haridwar and finally returning to Pune.
The tour combines spirituality, adventure, cultural immersion, and the majestic beauty of the Himalayas. Pilgrims also have opportunities to explore local markets, scenic rivers, and historic ashrams. Meals, accommodations, and travel are well-arranged, ensuring a comfortable and safe journey.
Tour Payment Terms
Initial amount of 25% of the Invoice amount, the Client must pay the balance amount 3 days prior to the date of departure of the Tour.
Tour Cancellations Policy
If the Client is willing to amend or cancel his/her booking because of whatsoever reasons including death, accident, illness, or any other personal reasons including non-payment of the balance payment, the Company is liable to recover Cancellation charges from the Client, as company had already paid your amount in advance in order to Guarantee your services.

1. What is included in the Chardham Yatra Package from Pune?
The package includes accommodation, transportation, meals (as per itinerary), permits, driver/guide services, and pickup/drop facilities. Exclusions are airfare/train fare, personal expenses, medical insurance, and optional services like pony/palanquin or helicopter rides.
2. How many days does the Chardham Yatra take from Pune?
The standard package is 10 Days / 9 Nights, covering Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.
3. What is the best time to do Chardham Yatra?
The Yatra is best done between May – June (summer) and September – October (post-monsoon). The temples remain closed during winters due to heavy snowfall.
4. What is the level of difficulty in this Yatra?
Most of the journey is by road, but the Kedarnath trek (16 km one-way) from Gaurikund can be challenging. Options like pony, palanquin, or helicopter services are available for those who cannot trek.
5. How do I travel from Pune to Haridwar (the starting point)?
You can either fly from Pune to Dehradun (Jolly Grant Airport) or take a train to Haridwar. Transfers are arranged from there.
6. Is medical assistance available during the Yatra?
Yes, first-aid kits and basic medical support are available. However, travelers with serious health issues (heart, asthma, high blood pressure) should consult a doctor before booking.
7. What kind of accommodation is provided?
Accommodation is arranged in budget/standard hotels, guesthouses, and dharamshalas on twin or triple-sharing basis. At Kedarnath, accommodation is limited and basic due to high altitude.
8. Can senior citizens join this Yatra?
Yes, many senior citizens join Chardham Yatra. However, they should be medically fit, especially for Kedarnath. For ease, they can book pony, palanquin, or helicopter services.
9. Are meals vegetarian?
Yes, pure vegetarian meals are served throughout the Yatra as per traditional pilgrimage norms.
10. What should I pack for Chardham Yatra?
Carry warm clothes (jackets, thermals, gloves), comfortable shoes, personal toiletries, reusable water bottles, medicines, ID proof, and rain gear.
11. Are helicopter services available for Kedarnath?
Yes, helicopter services operate from Guptkashi, Phata, and Sersi to Kedarnath. Pre-booking is recommended, especially in peak season.
12. Is the Yatra safe for solo travelers and women?
Yes, the Chardham Yatra is considered safe. Thousands of pilgrims travel every year, and proper arrangements are made for security and comfort.
13. Is photography allowed inside the temples?
No, photography is strictly prohibited inside the temple premises but allowed outside.
14. Can I customize the Yatra package?
Yes, customization options are available for group size, transport type (car/tempo traveler), accommodation category, and additional sightseeing stops.
15. What happens if the Yatra is canceled due to weather?
In case of landslides, heavy rains, or natural disruptions, alternate arrangements will be provided. Cash refunds are usually not available, but rescheduling is possible.
