This 7N/8D North Sikkim and Darjeeling tour begins from Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, leading you first to Gangtok, a charming hill city known for its monasteries and views of Kanchenjunga. From there, travel to the high mountain village of Lachen, gateway to the sacred Gurudongmar Lake, one of the world’s highest lakes.
Continue to Lachung, and visit the stunning Yumthang Valley, known as the Valley of Flowers or “mini Switzerland of Sikkim.” Return to Gangtok for a day of sightseeing covering monasteries, viewpoints, and waterfalls. The journey then takes you to Darjeeling, the “Queen of Hills,” where you’ll witness the majestic sunrise over Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill and explore colonial-era charm, tea gardens, and monasteries before returning to NJP/Bagdogra.
A perfect mix of adventure, natural beauty, and peaceful retreats — ideal for families, couples, and mountain lovers alike.
Tour Payment Terms
Initial amount of 25% of the Invoice amount, the Client must pay the balance amount 3 days prior to the date of departure of the Tour.
Tour Cancellations Policy
If the Client is willing to amend or cancel his/her booking because of whatsoever reasons including death, accident, illness, or any other personal reasons including non-payment of the balance payment, the Company is liable to recover Cancellation charges from the Client, as company had already paid your amount in advance in order to Guarantee your services.

🛫 1. Where does the tour start and end?
The tour starts and ends at NJP Railway Station (New Jalpaiguri) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) near Siliguri, West Bengal.
🚗 2. What is the mode of transportation during the trip?
A private vehicle (Scorpio, Xylo, Innova, or similar) is provided for all transfers and sightseeing as per the itinerary.
🏡 3. What kind of accommodation is provided?
Accommodation is in well-rated hotels and standard mountain lodges in remote areas like Lachen and Lachung (due to limited infrastructure). Rooms are clean and comfortable with basic amenities.
🍽️ 4. What meals are included?
Meals as per itinerary — Breakfast and Dinner daily (Dinner on Day 1 to Breakfast on Day 8).
🏔️ 5. How difficult is the journey to Gurudongmar Lake?
The road to Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft) is bumpy and high-altitude, but manageable with proper acclimatization. People with heart, asthma, or high-altitude sickness issues should consult a doctor before visiting.
📜 6. Are permits required for North Sikkim?
Yes, special Restricted Area Permits (RAP) are mandatory for visiting Lachen, Lachung, Gurudongmar, and Yumthang Valley. Your tour operator arranges them — you just need to provide valid photo ID and passport-size photos.

Carry warm clothes, woolens, gloves, good shoes, medicines, sunscreen, sunglasses, ID proof, and extra cash (limited ATMs in North Sikkim).

No — these are optional excursions available at extra cost and subject to permits, weather, and road conditions.
☕ 10. Is Darjeeling included in the same package?
Yes! The last 2 days of the tour cover Darjeeling, including Tiger Hill, Batasia Loop, Tea Gardens, and monasteries.
🧘 11. Is the tour suitable for families and kids?
Yes, it’s safe for families and kids above 5 years old, but young children and elderly travelers should skip Gurudongmar Lake due to altitude.
🚑 12. Is medical help available in remote areas?
Basic medical facilities are available in Gangtok and Lachung, but limited in Lachen or near Gurudongmar. Always carry personal medicines and travel insurance.
